Devyn Rush, best known as "The Singing Waitress" from Season 10 of American Idol, grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, where music resonated throughout every corner of her home. Having grown up in a musical family, Devyn absorbed so much musical energy, which she has used to create her own unique musical identity.
Throughout her adolescence and early adulthood, Devyn's main focus was on musical theatre. When she was 15, she originated the role of Anna in the 2007 Tony-Award winning musical, Spring Awakening at Lincoln Center. After graduating high school, Rush moved to New York to continue her career in performing. She soon discovered the beauty of song-writing and has since moved forward with this new found passion.

Most recently known for her success on American Idol, Devyn Rush has transformed from the show's title of "The Singing Waitress," to a powerhouse singer whose sultry vocals breathe life and color into her art. Rush's music is soulful pop, with a tinge of jazz and a ton of love.

Devyn Rush is also the national spokesperson for the bully prevention organization Hey U.G.L.Y. (Unique.Gifted.Lovable.You.), through which she speaks and performs at schools all over the country, to build emotional awareness and self-love in children.
